If a letter you send is returned to you because the mailing/post address has changed, please let us know. We will contact that company, get the correct information, and then inform you of the updated address.
Or we will inform you that we could not contact the company and that it has been taken off our database.
This way you are guaranteed of getting mailing addresses that are up-to-date.

What You Can Do With the Database

Contacting the companies on this database is a great
way to start exporting or increase your exports to the USA.
- send a personalized sales letter or a brochure by mail/post to each company on your list. Our research showed this to be the best and most effective way to introduce your product and find new buyers.
- if the e-mail address is included on the database (only some companies list it) you can send them an e-mail message. (Note: Sending an e-mail message is not a good way to market your product. US importers rarely buy from SPAM e-mail messages.)
- if the web site address is included on the database you can view their web site and send them a message through their site,
- if the web site address is not included you can look up the company name on an internet search engine (Google, Yahoo) and then send them a message through their site,
- send a fax to each company on your list (Note: you MUST get their permission before sending a fax. Sending unsolicited faxes is illegal), or
- telephone each company on your list.

How to Use the Database
There are Several Ways to Find US Importers
for the Product You Export
For example, do you want to find the major clothing importers? Click the FIND button, type "clothing" in the sector window, and all the clothing importers on the list will come on the screen. There are a wide variety of sectors on the list.
Want to localise your search? Click the FIND button, type in the location you want in the city or state window, and all the importers on the list in that location will come on the screen.
Using this database is very easy.
Know the company name, but want the telephone number or address? Click the FIND button, type the company name in the window and that company's entry comes on the screen. The list of companies you select can be saved as a TEXT file then entered into your existing database, Excel, or word processor (Word) for printing.
